Today I am sharing with you a card I made for Lisa P who’s Birthday is New Years day … wishing you a very Happy Birthday Lisa!
The card I have made is a variation of a recent card I made with this set in pinks using the very pretty set ‘Special Reason’ and coordinating framelits, however Lisa love any shade of teal so I needed to change it up a little! This is using Indigo Island, Pool Party and a touch of Gold.
I love embossing as I always feel it gives a wow! This technique (embossing only part of an image) was one shared by Sarah (Stampin’ Up! CEO) during the launch of this new Catalogue for demonstrators back in Nov & I loved it!
The photos below aren’t great but hopefully help show how this has been done. I firstly stamped the sentiment in Indigo Island and then used the Stamp-a-ma-jig (you could also do this by eye if you are using the photopolymer stamps). The next step was to ink only the bottom half of the sentiment with versamark and then added the gold embossing powder & heat.
Hope you have fun trying out this technique to add a wow to your own cards
You’ll be able to get your hands on these stamps and dies from 4th Jan plus this is also when Sale-a-bration starts so for every £45 spend you can grab yourself some fantastic freebies!
You can shop with me online 24/7
Happy Stampin’ Emma
