Stampin’ Creative Wildlife

Hello & welcome back to our first Stampin’ Creative blog hop of 2017! Today we are back with some Wildlife inspiration! & I know you will be in for a treat as you hop around, so grab yourself a cuppa and enjoy. If you have time to leave a comment we always love hearing from you – it really does make our day!!

For my card and matching box I have used the Dragonfly dreams set. Whilst the Dragonfly within this set is BEAUTIFUL and has already seen plenty of ink from me, I just love this cute little bubble bee! I wanted to make sure he wasn’t overlooked & would Bee-HAPPY too haha!

I have teamed him up with the de-bossed ‘HAPPY’ folder from a set of two de-bossing folders called “Celebrations Due’

These de-bossing folders are also sold as a bundle with a great set called ‘Happy Celebrations’ but wanted to show you how these folders can be used with other stamps set to give a great effect too.

The dots I have used are within the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set. I have just randomly stamped in both Crushed Curry and Bermuda Bay over the top of the de-bossed image. The colour combination was inspired from the card in the catalogue on page 26 & the Cupcake & Carousels designer paper stack.

I have also made a coordinating box which is a good size either for a small gift or LOTS of chocolates/sweets?

This box is made up from the Window Box framelits. I have used the box die again to cut the hexagon to fit on top & then cut 6 squares at 1-3/4″ x 1-3/4″ for the side panels. The paper is all from the Cupcake and Carousels papers.

The ‘HAPPY’ on top has been made in the same way as the card front and trimmed down into a banner. Both the banner and bumble bee have been stuck on with dimentionals.

Well that’s all from me today, I am now heading out with some friends to try some glass fusing! I shall share the results with you – whatever that may end up being?!

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great weekend. I’ll be back soon, but for now I am now sending you on the lovely Pip – Enjoy!!

  2. Gorgeous projects and I love the colour choice! I can’t wait to use my bee – so far I can’t drag myself away from the dragonflies. Caro xx

    1. Thanks Caro xx The Dragonfly shall be seeing plenty more ink from me as I am planning a class this month :)

  3. Your fuzzy bees are delish and I think your colour combo is bright, bold and inspired! Love both of these – a great matching pair!

    1. Thanks Pip, I loved this mixed of colours on the cards in the catalogue – not a colour combo I would have paired together but they work really well.
