Welcome to the Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! This month I am excited to be showcasing the Perennial Essence Suite, I’m a huge fan of any flowers so this was right up my street. I love that it comes with a selection of flower types, you have 2 sizes of solid flowers, outlines (perfect for colouring) and flowers which coordinate with a punch – something for everyone! I started out by creating a 12×12″ page for a box frame and couldn’t stop making the flowers so I also made a set of coordinating cards.
The box frame was my starting point, I wanted to frame this lovely black and white photo of me and my amazing friend! I really wanted to get the photo printed rather than keep it hidden away on our phones. The papers are all BEAUTIFUL, I chose the most subtle paper, for the frame as I didn’t want the paper competing with the photo …plus it coordinated perfectly with the pretty ribbon! I have kept the flowers in Smoky Slate & Basic Gray to match in with the black and white photo.
Continuing the theme of the grey with the pop of colour I have designed the coordinating card set. The layout for all three cards are identical but I have just changed up the papers – a great way to make lots of cards. There is a coordinating punch with the three petal flower and the leaf which all layer up beautifully, but the rest of the flowers have been cut out by hand.
To complete the cards I have added a the sentiment (from the Perennial Birthday Stamp Set), embossed in White on the Smoky Slate, and added a few rhinestones.
