Be Inspired – Happy Mail

In Be Inspired by Emma Goddard6 Comments

Welcome to the Be Inspired Blog Hop! For this month we are sharing cards and projects which have been inspired by the theme ‘Happy Mail’ I LOVE sending happy mail, isn’t it just so lovely to receive a hand made card through the post! So much better than junk mail or bills!? This card I am sharing with you was inspired by a new top my Mum has recently purchased and I just loved the colours!! It is (in my opinion..) a mix of Pretty Peacock and Melon Mambo.

To create the background I have firstly rubbed the piece of whisper white with the embossing buddy and then stamped the images from the Very Versailles Stamp Set all over the background and emboss with the white powder. Once the embossing was complete I have then sponged brayed the Melon Mambo and Pretty Peacock on the top and bottom of the background meeting almost in the middle.

The flower and leaves are from the Band Together Bundle. I have stamped the flower and the leaf (x2) onto watercolour paper and also embossed in white powder. I have then coloured this in using the Aqua Painter and the same coloured inks, once dry I have die cut these out. I have also die cut out some Pretty Peacock leaves (also from the same bundle) in the Pretty Peacock Paper.

The ribbon is 1/2″ scalloped linen ribbon. I have simple cut the edge of the ribbon and used just the Pretty Peacock scalloped parts for the loops tucked underneath the flowers.

The sentiment is from another set (Rooted in Nature), however it was just the perfect sentiment for the person who will be receiving this happy mail.
