Summer

In Stampin' Up!, Thinking of You by Emma Goddard7 Comments

Hello and welcome to the Summer inspired Blog Hop. We are on day 3 of the Summer holidays here in the UK and summer seems to have come and gone back in June, however I know so many places are struggling with extreme temperatures right now, so I’m certainly not complaining about our weather.

If you aren’t starting the Be Inspired Blog Hop here, then you have probably just popped over from my very good friend Brian King. I was lucky enough to see a sneak peek of his project and very cool!

For my card I started by stamping a bright Crushed Curry Truck and added in the palm tree and surf board image. The Trucking Along Stamp Set has an outline and infill image, so it is very quick to add colour. I have stamped in Crushed Curry and added a little more depth to this image with Daffodil Delight Watercolour pencil.

Top Tip

By applying more pressure on your pencil, you can get a greater depth of colour to create the shading on your images.

The Rays of Light Background Stamp is just brilliant! If you don’t have this in your stamp collection I would highly recommend this to you.

The stamp already has a distressed look, but I have inked up the stamp in Lemon Lolly ink and laid the paper on to the stamp which allows me to apply more pressure in certain areas. This gives the stamped image more of distressed look around the edges.

The stamped panel measures 6.7cm x 10.2cm or 2 1/4″ x 4″ and the Basic Black measures 7cm x 10.2cm or 2 3/8″ x 4″.

I love this sentiment in the Tricking Along Stamp Set, who wouldn’t love to receive a card sending them Sunny Thoughts!

That’s all from me today, I am now sending you on over to the very lovely & talented Angela who I know will have a fabulous project in store for you.

Simply click on the button below to hop on over to her blog and follow the hop around to see everyones creations – Enjoy!
