Sweet Soiree Bow

In Birthday by Emma Goddard3 Comments

Its the weekend! A slightly later post from me today, I hadn’t scheduled this post ahead and I have been having a lazy start to the day with plenty of coffee!

So today I am sharing a gift box, but focusing on how to make this coordinating bow!

The bow is made from the following pieces of card stock:

  • Three 12″ x 1″ strips
  • Three 10″ x 1″ strips
  • One 5″ strip – this is the middle part on the far left of the pic.

Each piece is twisted together into a figure of 8 like this and I have staples each part together.

You then assemble each layer, with strong glue! Here is a quick video of how this has been put together.

If you would also like the measurements for this box, they are as follows: Base = 12″ x 12″, which has been scored at 3″ in on every side, tabs cut and folded to make a basic box.  The Lid = 10″ x 10″ , which has been scored at 1 7/8″ on each side, tabs cut and folded to make a basic box.

  1. This bow was one of the first things I learnt to make at a workshop I attended nearly 9 years ago! It’s an oldie but a goodie. Thanks for the fun reminder Emma ♥

    1. Thanks Paula, I made them with a group of ladies at one of my all day events about 8yrs ago & they were a big hit! x
