This month the Be Inspired Team are sharing ideas inspired by the theme ‘Thank you’

If you aren’t starting the Be Inspired Blog Hop here, then you have probably just popped over from my friend Brian King. All the links for the Blog Hop are at the end of my post, so you can click on the each of these links and see all our Be Inspired projects.
I created these cards on Sunday evening on my weekly live and whilst they were not originally made with this blog hop in mind, I thought that they turned out to be the perfect cards to share on this blog hop. Not only were they on theme (Thank you) but the colours were on-brand with our Be Inspired Logo too, which was a happy accident.
It is always helpful to have Thank You cards on hand, but especially at this time of year.
I love creating all year round, but getting back into my craft room after lots of Christmas crafting has to be my most favourite time. I LOVE the change of colour palettes and the excitement of brand new products being used for the new year ahead.

The large flower on the Timid Tiger card base is from a new set called Simply Beautiful and is perfect for all sorts of colouring techniques, but I couldn’t resist adding some watercolour to this large flower. I have mixed together Melon Mambo and Timid Tiger, and the leaves are painted in Lemon Lime Twist for a pop of bright green.
The smaller flowers on the Melon Mambo card are from the exclusive Stamp set released for the 2026 Virtual Album Retreat. This cluster of flowers were also heat embossed in gold and coloured in the same combinations of inks.

If you haven’t tried the Two-Tone cardstock, I would really recommend giving this a try. There are lots of ideas creating with Tow-Tone cardstock, but may favourite is sanding the embossed layer to expose the white core. It is so simple and effective and creates a lovely textured background.
On both of these cards I decided to only sand across the middle section to create more of a focal point behind the florals, but you could sand the full background if you wanted too.
I am now sending you on over to the fabulous Heather Thomas (aka the Songbird Stamper) who I know will have a gorgeous project in store for you. Simply click on the button below to hop on over to her blog and use the Blog Hop Buttons to follow the hop around to see everyones creations – Enjoy!
