I’m so excited to share today’s card with you, I had so much fun creating this card on my weekly live stream yesterday evening. The focus product is the gorgeous Elegant Leaves Stamp Set, and I’ve paired it with a rich watercolour palette of Blackberry Bliss and Melon Mambo inks to create these deep, jewel-toned leaves. My card was inspired by this week’s Global Design Project Challenge, where the theme is ‘Metallics’
To get this look, I stamped the leaf images with Versamark and heat embossed with gold on to watercolour card stock. I watercoloured them with Blackberry Bliss and Melon Mambo inks, blending the two together so you get a mix of the bright berry pink with the darker plum.. Once the colour was dry, I added the matching gold foiled leaf outlines on top
This is such a versatile technique. You could easily pick out so many different ink colour combinations which would work with the Elegant Leaves. This card could be used for any occasion, not just birthdays. The birthday sentiment is from Poetic Petals, but this is a great sentiment set which I am finding myself reaching for lots at the moment.
