This week, there is a new challenge over at the Global Design Project and the theme is ‘Ocean’. It might go without saying, but I really do love all the ocean themed stamp sets and bundles, so was excited for this theme. I decided to keep it simple and choose a small image from the Choose Happy Stamp Set.
I have used a new In Colour (Secret Sea) for the cardbase and layered this with a piece of Timeless Plaid Designer Series Paper (DSP).
The next step was to emboss the panel of Basic White with the Soft Waves 3D Embossing Folder, once embossed, I have added a subtle touch of blending with Pool Party of the middle section of this panel. This panel has been added to the front of the card with dimensionals.
The Boat image was stamped in Secret Sea Ink and coloured with Balmy Blue and Misty Moonlight Blends. Once coloured with blends, they have been cut out with scissors. The sentiment is in the same colour ink and from the same stamp set, all of the images and sentiment has been popped up on some dimensionals to give them more depth.
This card has been completed with some Twisted Gold Thread and 2025-2027 In-Color Flat Pearls.
On Sunday 6th April 25, I shared a live video creating a CASE of my Ocean themed card. I used the same simple lay out and the plaid designer paper and then added on the cute bunny’s from Storybook Friends.
The base of this card is Petal Pink and I have lightly blended some Calypso Coral ink over the background to add more depth to the colour. I wanted some small clouds, so reached for the Adventurous Sky Dies. To see these images being coloured, you can catch the replay over on my YouTube channel, linked below for you.
