What is not to love about making two cards for the price of one! Both of these cards are made using the Fancy Borders Bundle (available online only).
I started out with the pieces of Bubble Bath, Fresh Freesia, Petunia Pop, Berry Burst and Blackberry Bliss cardstock, measuring 14.5cm x 2cm (or 5 3/8″ x 1/2″), using the die cut pieces I layered them on to a Thick Basic card base for a simple layout.
Once the die cut pieces where layered on, I cut out a circle from the Stylish Shape Dies and stamped on the sentiment. The heart was stamped in Memento a coloured with Fresh Freesia Blends.
The card was completed with Purple Shimmer Gems and a bow tied with the Twisted Gold Thread.
Such a quick and simple card to make!
With all the ‘left over’ pieces, I wanted to use them to create a shaker card.
The die cut pieces are cut but needed a little shine! For this I picked out some of the pink tone Loose Frosted Dots and added these into the mix. This was put to one side whist the card was prepared to be put together.
The front panel was stamped with the border image to create the frame, and coloured with the Lemon Lime Twist (Light) blend and the light Granny Apple for some shading. I then used the trimmer to cut out the middle section and finished the cutting away with my trusty snips! You can see exactly how I did this by watching the YouTube replay below.
The next step was to add the Window Sheet behind the image and add the Foam Adhesive Strips to create the shaker frame. All the embellishments where piled up in the centre of a Basic White layer and then the shaker frame was placed over the top.
The sentiment was simply stamped in Memento and cut out and added to the front with a few glue dots. I wanted the foliage to have a few flowers, so used the trio of flowers from the NEW stamp set Pretty Florals, which will be available from the 6th May 2025.
