Good Morning,
Today I have the pleasure of going the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop as a Guest, thank you so much to the lovely Angie McKenzie for inviting me to join the hop. The theme today was right up my street and is colouring tools, I love all the choices of colouring tool we have but my immediate go to was my aqua painter for a watercolour background – I can’t wait to grab a cuppa later today and hop around and see which colouring tools everyone else has been using.
So, you may have join me from the very lovely Aurelie or joined me directly, either way a very warm welcome!
My colour combo for my card today was taken from a sample in the upcoming new catalogue, I love how bright and fresh this is
I used the aqua painters to create the ‘swoosh’ of colours on the background, once dry I have then embossed (with white powder) the image from the Positive Thoughts Stamp Set
I have also then embossed a couple of extra images in white on white and die cut these out to add extra layers.
The next step was to die cut a stitched circle (my go-to die set!) and add these die cut images and the Daffodil Delight ribbon to the circle – I have held these on with a trusty staple!
The butterflies have been stamped in Memento ink and coloured with coordinating blends, you could of course stamp these in Staz-on and watercolour with the inks. To complete the card I have added some pearls.
