Hello and welcome to our April Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team blog hop, we are sharing the Needlepoint Nook bundle. I have taken my inspiration from the papers and picked out the Crushed Curry and Rich Razzleberry as my main colour combo.
These distinctive stamps make the images look like they really have been stitched and the papers have so much detail!
The Hexagon canvas is from a local craft store and the smaller hexagons haven been created using the Window Box die. I have die-cut the lid section and cut off the extra tabs and parts of the box not needed. Each of the plain Hexagons in the Whisper White, Crushed Curry and Rich Razzleberry have been run through the Big Shot with the Ruffled embossing folder to add even more fabric texture!
The strips of designer paper are approx 1.5cm wide and I have stuck 2 30cm strips together, so when gathered together like this there is still enough length to fill the canvas.
For the coordinating card I have used the Sponge Brayer to create the Rich Razzleberry background and then splattered with a touch of water for the droplets. Once dry I have added some of those really cute and tiny butterflies on the background.
I have used the same technique to ruffle the paper on the card as I did on the canvas. I layered some tear and tape and then folded the paper onto the tape. The strips of paper were approx 1.5cm wide and I used the length of the designer paper (30cm) and simply trimmed off when I had enough on the length of the card.
