Beautiful Promenade – Artisan Design Team Blog Hop

Welcome to the Sept Artisan blog hop (wow…Sept already?! How did that happen? …time flies when you are having fun!) This month we are sharing with you Beautiful Promenade. I loved working with this set, so many possibilities as you will see when you hop around the rest of the Artisan Design Team.

I started out creating the box frame (8″ x 8″ from a local craft store) The papers are just so pretty and wanted to work with the pinks and coral tones. I have used the Corrugated Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder and then sponged lightly with Petal Pink Ink. The splatters are a mix of Calypso Coral ink with some Frost White Shimmer, I have picked this up with a paint brush and gentle tapped over the card to create the random splatters.

I have embossed (in white) the flower several times on to Vellum Cardstock. I have then used the blends in Lovely Lipstick, Calypso Coral and Petal Pink to colour the back of the image for a softer look.

To adhere the flowers I have used multi purpose glue on two flowers behind, and then layered up the centre flower with a couple of mini dimentionals. I placed the dimentionals behind the solid embossed centre of the flowers so they are hidden from view!

The sentiment inside the frame is from the Rooted in Nature Stamp Set, and to create the white on black I have again embossed this with white powder on the black cardstock.

I hope you like them and this have inspired you to have a play with the colouring on the vellum..a fun technique for a different look to your images. I am now sending you on over to the super talented Jennifer Pauli  who I know has some beautiful creations in store for you.

Be sure to hop on around the whole team to see all the beautiful inspirations and ideas using this suite.
