Welcome to another Artisan Blog Hop and today we are all sharing the amazing Snowflake Showcase Products. These are exclusive out of publication products which you won’t find in either of the catalogues and available in November only – so don’t wait to get your hands on all this gorgeous-ness!
Today I am sharing some projects that are focusing on the Snow is Glistening Stamp set and the Snowfall Thinlits, but be sure to hop all the way around all 16 Artisans to see lots of beautiful inspirations using all of these products and both stamp sets.
First up, I have created some ornaments using the tree stamp. I have stamped out the image and the punched out the circles with the 1″ and 1-1/2″ circle punches. and the Gold Glimmer has been punched out using the 1-1/4″ and 1-3/4″ circle punches. I have simple stuck these together & clipped on with the super cute All is Bright Clips (pg. 6 of the Autumn/Winter Catalogue). I have a couple of dimensionals behind the ornaments to stop them swinging about :)
The white layer is watercolour card and Gorgeous Grape swoosh! Once dry I have stamped the snowflakes full strength on the background with the lovely sentiment.
Oh this die! I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! I have already used it LOADS! (Well actually…. my husband has used it the most!…as he was a super star and best husband in the world for helping me preparing for a big class & I am so grateful for all his support and mangling (as he calls it). Top tip for cutting the snowflakes is to make sure you are using the Precision Base Plate.
For this final make I was totally inspired by Jacque Williams who shared a tutorial with little tree trucks like this using the Spring Punch. You can find her full blog post and tutorial HERE. I showed Jacque’s originally trees to my husband and asked if it would be possible to get some wood like this? ….and that very afternoon he was chopping down a few branches from a tree in our garden to make these mini tree trunks…100 x better that a bunch of flowers! I was absolutely over the moon with these cute mini tree trucks!
The trees are stamp and cut (x5) out using the trimmer. Each one is scored in half and then glued together around the stick. This would work equally well without the little tree trunk and would stand up on their own or make great tree decorations with a hanger form the top.
I am now sending you over to my amazingly talented friend Jenni Pauli, which I know has a treat in store for you. Be sure to hop around all 16 blogs & enjoy all the wonderful ideas and inspiration.
