Be Inspired – Stamping Techniques

In Stampin' Up! by Emma Goddard3 Comments

This month the Be Inspired Team are sharing ideas inspired by the theme ‘Stamping Techniques’ and my favourite technique is watercolouring and I love to add heat embossing as the outline to this.

If you aren’t starting the Be Inspired Blog Hop here, then you have probably just popped over from my friend Brian King. All the links for the Blog Hop are at the end of my post, so you can click on the each of these links and see all our Be Inspired projects.

I started by grabbing this large floral stamp ‘Flowers Fair’, a perfect image for colouring, and heat embossed this on to watercolour cardstock with gold embossing powder. Once heated, I then watercoloured the image with Melon Mambo and a touch of Calypso Coral and Granny Apple Green for the leaves.

The sentiment is from a new stamp coming in the May-Aug Catalogue called Phrases and Frames. I always try my best to get a birthday card sent on time, but sometimes life gets in the way. So this is the perfect sentiment for a bleated birthday! This has also been heat embossed in white on the contrast of the Basic Black cardstock, a favourite technique of mine too.

I am now sending you on over to the fabulous Heather Thomas (aka the Songbird Stamper) who I know will have a gorgeous project in store for you. Simply click on the button below to hop on over to her blog and use the Blog Hop Buttons to follow the hop around to see everyones creations – Enjoy!

If you have a long wish list, then I would highly recommend taking a look at what the starter kit can offer you
