Hi everyone!
Hope you are having a great weekend. Today I’m back and sharing with you a birthday card which I have made for my son’s friend who was having her Birthday party this weekend.
The party theme was Charlie & the Chocolate Factory so I wanted to make either a chocolate bar or lollipop theme card, but as you can see I went with the bright & girly lollipop style card.
The lollipop has been made from a punched circle (1-3/8″) base of yellow card stock, which was fully covered in double sided tape. I then placed once end of the twine in middle and swirled outwards to cover the card – a little tricky but going slowly & carefully is the key to really getting this in place with no gaps. The lolly stick is from a really lolly (washed & dried!). The lolly stick is taped to the back of the circle and covered with another circle in the same size punch. I have then shorten the plastic bag down from 8″ to about 3 – 4″ to place over the top of the lollipop & tied with the Flirty Flamingo ribbon.
Once the Lollipop was assembled I have used my hot glue gun to attached to the card as it was a bit of an odd shape and fairly bulky, but some super strong double sided tape would also work.
The birthday girl’s name has been made up from the Labeler Alphabet set which is a great set to have in your stash for personalising a card.
