Welcome to the Be Inspired Oct blog hop! I had a lovely relaxed weekend and had created a card with the theme ‘black and bling’ in mind but then when it came around got my regular Sunday FB live, I had this theme in my mind so I have this card to share with you too. You may have started from my blog, or hopped over from my inspiring friend Brian King – isn’t his project fabulous?
First up for you is the card I created using the Wonderfully Wicked Stamp Set. The background was created by stamping out the spiders web in Basic Gray and using a dauber (also with the Basic Gray) to add the shading to the edges
I then tied around the black ribbon into a big bow and added this layer to the front of the card. The 3 black panels are using the Black Foil for some extra shine! with smaller panels stamped out with the Bat, Cat and Spider images. I have created a similar layout a long time ago with the Love What You Do Stamp Set, but it is a layout I think you could change up for any stamp set or any occasion
This next card is using the Buffalo Check Background stamp in Basic Gray on Smoky Slate Cardstock, I have then roughed up the edges with the edge of the scissors. This beautiful flower is from the Christmas Rose Stamp Set (Available from 1st Nov) – The suite comes with some beautiful papers and accessories in traditional reds and golds, but I love using sets out of the original suite colours.
I have stamped with Staz-On onto watercolour paper and coloured with Memento Ink mixed with a little Frost White Shimmer Paint for some extra sparkle!
I have die cut the trellis in silver foil and layered this behind the rose image for extra texture, and completed the card with a Christmas sentiment from the set.
I am now sending you on our the the lovely Tanya, who I know will have something gorgeous in store for you. Enjoy the hop!
