Hello and welcome back!
My card today was inspired by this week’s Global Design Project Challenge, CASE the Designer. This week we are casing the fabulous Krista, and here is her original card.
I loved the layout of Krista’s card so I kept that as my starting point and then added my own twist. My focus products for this card are the Welcome Noel Bundle and the Noel Tidings Bundle. They work so beautifully together, and I couldn’t resist creating a cosy little winter village scene.
I stamped the pine trees from Noel Tidings in Old Olive and die cut them out, layering them behind my houses to give a sense of depth. The houses from Welcome Noel are die cut from a mix of woodgrain, white and Old Olive cardstock, with Daffodil Delight behind the windows so they look as though the lights are on and everyone is home for Christmas. I added a little wreath above the door of the woodgrain house too.
The background has been created with the Wood Grain Wonders Designer Paper embossed with the Textured Tree Ring 3D Folder. If you love this folder, and don’t have it in your stash, now is the time to order it! It has just gone into the LAST CHANCE list and with this discount, I don’t think it will be around for much longer.
To finish, I tied a linen thread bow on the house, added a tiny deer peeking out from the trees and stamped the sentiment “from our home to yours” from Noel Tidings. A few gold dots add just the right amount of sparkle.
