This card is using the Darling Dinos and this months colour combo from the Color Fusers Team. Individually I really like reach of these colours, especially Coastal Cabana, but I have to say I struggled with this soft subtle combo, I can’t wait to see what the rest of the Color Fusers Team have designed this month. It was a decision between flowers or cute kids card, and as you will see I went with the cute dino kids card.

Step 1: Color Your Dinos
The adventure began with colouring these charming dinosaurs. Since Stampin’ Up! doesn’t offer a Coastal Cabana Blends set, I combined Pool Party and Summer Splash markers for a close match. Alternatively, you could achieve the same effect using the Coastal Cabana Watercolour pencil or a Blender Pen with the ink.

Step 2: Adding Texture to Your Card
To make the card more visually appealing, I punched out circles using coordinating cardstock. However, I wanted to give them a unique texture. I achieved this by using a dotty stamp from the set with coordinating ink colours. This technique, known as tone-on-tone stamping, is an excellent way to add a subtle yet effective background to your project.

The circle were simply punched out of coordinating cardstock, but they needed a little extra texture. For this I used the dotty stamp in the set in the coordinating ink colour to each of the cardstock colours. Tone on Tone stamping is such a great way to add a subtle background.
I am now sending you on over to the lovely and super talented Kim McGillis who I know will have a brilliant project for you. To see all of the Color Fusers Inspiration, you can use the links at the end of everyone’s blog posts to hop around to see all of the colour inspiration – Enjoy!
