Hello,
Today I am sharing a card with you which I made during my most recent FB Live which was inspired by my Mum’s gorgeous curtains and one of the samples in the catalogue. If you are ever stuck for a card idea or layout, the catalogue its bursting full of amazing samples (all designed by the amazing concept artists at Stampin’ Up!) which you can copy or take elements from and then change them up with the sets and colours you have.
The card I made was actually CASE’d from a Christmas Card, I just loved the layout and the centre focus of the card in the middle of this photo.
The Tin Tile Embossing Folder is my favourite!! So I didn’t change this at all. This embossing folder is just perfect for any occasion & and ideal for both feminine and masculine cards. I have used the Free as a Bird stamp set but focused on the beautiful flowers in this stamp set with the new In Colour ‘Pretty Peacock’. The leaf colour may not look so familiar? & that is because I have mixed Crushed Curry with a touch of Pretty Peacock for a more greeny-yellow
I have used Staz-On Black on Shimmery White cardstock to allow for this to be water-coloured. As well as colouring the flowers and leaves I have also water coloured the background with a subtle wash of the new Seaside Spray to make the imaged pop!
For the finishing touch I have added a double bow in the Linen Thread.
If you’d like to see this card being made, you can watch the replay of my Sunday 9th June FB Live HERE
