Hello!
These bright and cheerful Happy Butterfly Cards were made yesterday evening on a LIVE video. You can catch the replays these being made over on either Facebook or YouTube. I regularly share a LIVE video on a Sunday evening and this will also now be available at 0830 GMT on BOTH Facebook and YouTube so you can choose the platform your like to view this on
Who wouldn’t love to be sent lots of HAPPY! I adore this sentiment from the Pretty Perennials stamp set. This first card is a bigger size, with the card base measuring 8″ x 8″ and scored at 4″
The patterned paper is from the beautiful Fine Art Floral pack… the orange and pink tones are just so gorgeous! This has been cut to 3 7/8″ wide and then the diagonal was cut with the trimmer at the height or angle you wish to add to your design.
Card 1

All the butterflies were stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with white powder. Once heated, I have then coloured with the watercolour pencils, without using any water.
The next step…
To create these Happy Butterfly cards, the next step is to die cut them out, which is made SO easy with one die to cut out all of the butterflies in one pass through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine! I have picked out the medium and one of the smaller butterflies and layered them across the diagonal cut. The sentiment is from the Pretty Perennials and also heat embossing white on Crumb Cake Cardstock.
The sentiment was added on to the front with some mini dimensionals and a linen bow to complete the card.
Card 2
Oddly, despite this being the simpler or smaller of the two cards it didn’t come together quite so easily!!
I had and idea for a half butterfly on the edge of this panel but it just wasn’t working out how I imagined…so after pulling this off and cutting a new panel….this was the final card.
I used on of the smaller butterflies I had cut out already and didn’t use on the card above.
The texture on the background is such a cool die from the Brilliant wings Dies! It has cut some peek through splatters which has allowed be to put the designer paper behind and coordinate with the colours the the butterfly.
