This weekend I am sharing a card using the ‘Hey,Chick’ set which is from the 2017 Sale-a-Bration offer. You can grab yourself this set with an order of £45. It is proving very popular & I have already made a number of cards with it.
The card I am sharing today is using the paper-piecing technique and the colour combo below. This is a really simple but effective technique and can be used on all sorts of images.
To do this I have stamped the chicken on the vanilla card and die cut out with the stitched framelits, and stamped the chicken again on the Urban Underground DSP and then cut this out and placed over the body of the Chicken.
The background is using the new Hexagons (dynamic) embossing folder. I have inked up the folder with Tip Top Taupe ink and stamped with the folder to give the chicken wire background. Then I have finished this off with some gold Wink of Stella splatters for a little sparkle. The wink of Stella splatters is done by tapping the end of the brush over the card to give a random look.
