Welcome to challenge number #16
For this fortnight we are using the retiring In-colours…weren’t all these In-colours just awesome?! Did you have a favourite? I loved them all but will miss Dapper Denim for sure but am SO happy that Flirty Flamingo has made the quickest return ever and will now be a part of the Brights Collection :)
For my card today I have used Flirty Flamingo and Peekaboo Peach as I think they compliment each other really well. If you would like to play along with this challenge you can join us over at the Inspire.Create Challenge and share your link to your blog with your creations.
For this card I have used the Smooshing Technique on to Shimmer White card.
So what is the Smooshing Technique? You firstly add ink to a large clear block or silicone mat, then spritz with water and pick up the ink on acetate sheet. It is this acetate sheet that you then lay onto your card front and ‘smoosh’ it! This gives the random ink effect – pretty cool huh?
This background adds a wow which means you can complete the card with some very simple black stamping.
I have stamped the flowers from the Love What You Do Stamp Set in Archival Black but Staz-On ink would work well too. The card layer has been mounted onto coordinating Flirty Flaming and once stuck together I have taken a notch out of the side of this panel with the 1/2″ circle punch. This notch created interest and a space to tie in the bow with the twine.
To finish the card I have added some Iridescent Sequins which coordinate so well with these colours.
Thank you so much stopping by my blog! Be sure to pop on over to the Inspire.Create Challenge blog to see all of the ideas from the Design Team.

Such a pretty card, Emma. I love the Flirty Flamingo & Peekaboo Peach combination, and also the added sequins and Baker’s Twine are a perfect finish to your card. D xox
