Mmmm Doughnuts!

In Watercolour by Emma Goddard

This week on my live I was creating with the More Than Autumn Stamp Set for some fun Doughnut and Coffee cards.

The first step to creating this card was to cut the panel of watercolour card stock and heat emboss with Versamark ink and WoW black powder. This creates an emboss resist, meaning the glossy black embossing will pop through the watercolouring ink.

I love to watercolour and the way the colours will run into each other, working around this card the colours are Berry Burst, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Gorgeous Grape, Azure Afternoon, and Lemon Lime Twist.

For my second card, I created a book binding fold on a long thin card (DL Size). I have created this card by cutting two pieces of Thick White Card measuring 9cm x 21cm or 3 1/2” x 8 1/4”. It was scored on the left hand side at 1″ in from the edge on the top piece and then glue the two panels together on this fold.

This size of card gave me the space to add a row of these super cute coffee cups.

There is a great image for whipped cream and a coordinating die, but no lids. So I created the lids from small strips of paper and added a tab behind the cup to glue to lid onto.

The Mini Alphabet Dies are such a great tool to create unique and completely bespoke cards and projects, you can literally add ANY words you’d like to.

If you’d like to watch these cards being made then you can catch the replay over on my YouTube Channel HERE, or click the image below.

If you would like any of the supplies to create either of these cards, then you can add them into your basket in my online store. I hope I have inspired you to re-create this card or copy elements you like from it (such as colours or layout). If you create something inspired by these cards, please tag me or share with me by message or email, I always love to see what you have created!
