My kind of Lego…

Hello – Happy Monday! Hope you have had a great weekend?  Our weekend was full of family time including a 1st birthday party for our gorgeous Great Nephew – Oscar! I knew exactly the type of card I wanted to create but this was actually only made yesterday morning just a few hours before heading out to the party. Alothugh I really do think Sunday mornings are the perfect time for Lego building and this is my type of Lego building…well ok ….crafting!!! Haha This was the card in progress… IMG_0830 The card base is half an A4 sheet (so A5) and each Lego block is either 2″ x 2″, 2″ x 1″ or 1″ x 1″ and the circle punch is 3/4″ – I was actually going more for a Duplo look rather than Lego pieces so went for larger circles. IMG_0828 I have sponged the edges of the circles to give them shading in the same colour as the cardstock (Real Red, Pacific Point & Daffodil Delight) The words and large number 1 was from the bundle ‘Number of Years’. Oscar’s name is die cut from some retired letters but any alphabet set is a great investment for personalising cards. IMG_0827 I have also made the envelope. This was a 11.5″ x 11.5″ piece of paper & I used the envelope punch board to make the envelope to fit the A5 card. Hope you like it – Back soon, Emma x If you’d like to make this card, here are the supplies I have used:
