This week we have a new Global Design Project Sketch Challenge. Sketches are my favourite kind of challenge and I love seeing the variety that is created from the same sketch. I have used the bright and bold new suite called Ocean Friends.

Transforming the Sketch
I initially started by placing some Designer Paper where the rectangle position on the sketch, but as I started to add in the other elements this felt heavy and didn’t flow with the Seaweed die cut. Once I swapped this out with the Lobster image I was able to then add in more of the small characters from the designer paper, bringing the card together.

This designer paper is right up my street in bright and bold colours but also contains lots of Ocean Friends which are perfect for a card or project on their own or would pair up with other Seaside/ocean themed stamp sets.

The Bubble images are also included in this stamp set and they add some great details to the background. The Lobster is stamped in Melon Mambo (stamped off for lighter tone of ink) with full strength Berry Burst over the top, but there are also lots of Lobster (and Crab) images included in the designer paper too.
Why Choose Ocean Friends?
The Ocean Friends designer paper is truly fantastic, bursting with bright colours and adorable ocean-themed characters. It’s ideal for standalone cards or can complement other seaside or ocean-themed stamp sets seamlessly, making it a versatile addition to your crafting supplies.

Design Details
The Bubble images in this stamp set add delightful details to the background. I stamped the Lobster using Melon Mambo (stamped off for a lighter tone) with full-strength Berry Burst overlay for added depth. The designer paper also features a variety of Lobster and Crab images, providing endless possibilities for your cards.
The ‘Hello, Friend’ sentiment comes from the Ocean Friends stamp set, and I have paired it with my go-to ‘Happy Birthday’ sentiment from the Simply Said stamp set. The Simply Said set is currently available for purchase, while the rest of the featured products will be available starting Monday 6th Jan 2025, at 11pm from my online store, www.coastalcrafter.com/shop.
