Welcome to this months Stampin’ Creative blog hop. Hope you are all enjoying the beautiful weather and summer holidays.
August is the pre order month for demonstrators from the Autumn/Winter Catalogue which goes live on the 1st of Sept for you to be able to have time to start planning, ordering and making all your autumn and Christmas cards and projects – whether this is cards, table decorations or memory keeping?
There are 8 fabulous blogs participating this month sharing a little sneak peek from the upcoming catalogue to give you a taster of what is in store – so be sure to hop round everyone and if you love what you see and you have time please leave a little comment or even just say hi, its always lovely to hear from you :)
My share is using a set called ‘Wrapped in Warmth’, this set has 4 lovely sentiments which all have a knitted/stitched feel to them. This inspired me to dig out my sewing machine, which I have used in a very long time! so it required a little ‘dusting off’!? (well ok, actually a very good clean!!). I even treated myself to some new threads in a few different colours, as close as I could find to Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green.
For this card I have sewn around the edge of the base and then added layers of very vanilla, new Copper Foil sheets (which are just L-O-V-E-L-Y!) and then a layer of embossed crumb cake using the coordinating Cable Knit ‘Dynamic’ textured plate.
I stitched the ‘label’ on to the embossed layer before adding to the copper layer. The touch of red is the ‘Warmth & Cheer washi tape’ (in the photo) – giving the card a touch of Christmas red.
The bow is using Linen thread with Cooper metallic thread added to the card with as small part of a glue dot.
Enjoy the rest of the hop – you now head over the lovely Sarah at Stamp with Sarah, and I know she will have something gorgeous in store for you.

Gorgeous! love the embossing folder and the copper foil sheet. It was definitely worth dusting off the sewing machine as the stitching really brings it all together :)
Ooh, loving the stitching and I can’t wait to crack open that embossing folder – it is such a fabulous pattern. The hint of copper is beautiful x
