Hello and welcome to our first blog hop of 2016 and this months theme is ‘Love and Hearts’. You may have hopped on over from Pip’s blog and I know she will be sharing some lovely makes.
When I first saw this was the theme I thought I was going to struggle because although I really do like the typical valentine type products, heart stamps and punches its not something which often makes it’s way into my basket on my own orders. I didn’t think I would have much in my stash to make these cards but I have surprised myself with what I managed to find, however I know my hubby will not be anywhere close to surprised that I only just about managed to find something in my tiny little stash of craft stuff – ha-ha!!
These are the 3 cards I am sharing today:
My first card was using the ‘Mini treat bag thinlits’ and ‘You’re so sweet’ stamp set not only is this mini treat bag really lovely but it also comes with SO many additional dies. This is a Christmas card I made using the ‘Sheltering Tree’ stamp and I had the idea to duplicate this style of card again with this new theme.
I firstly stamped the heart image and then masked over. I then used the sheltering tree stamp over the mask, this was then embossed in Silver. I have also added some of the new It’s my party enamel dots which come in a mixed pack of Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo & Mint Macaron
This next card is using one of my favourite new stamps Birthday Blooms from the Spring Catalogue 2016. This has been stamped with Versamark and embossed in Silver on watercolour card, I have then used the aqua painters with Melon Mambo and Old Olive ink to colour. The sentiment is from ‘Timeless Love’ and also embossed in silver.
This is my final card I am sharing today, using the very lovely Polka Dot embossing folder. I have twisted a dauber on each of the dots with melon mambo ink and then layered a sentiment from the ‘Timeless Love’ set on a 1-3/4″ circle and 2″ circle with a heart accent in silver foil.
Also, don’t forget that Sale-a-bration is now in full swing and so between now and the 31st of March you can earn FREE product for every £45 you spend.
It is also a great time to join! You can become a demonstrator for just £99 and choose £160 worth of product for your starter kit (This is product of your own choice from either the main or spring catalogue – with free shipping)
Or, would you like to have a fun evening with friends? If you host a qualifying party (£200 or more in sales) as well as your normal % of Stampin’ Rewards you can earn an additional £20 to spend.
I hope you have enjoyed my cards today, thank you for hopping by. This link will now take you on to Eimear who is next up on the hop around today and I know she will have something fab in store for you.

Love these makes Emma – but I’m smitten (hehe) by the dotty one – I know it’s really simple, but it’s totally gorgeous and really eye catching! Love them all, but that one’s my fav!
I soooo love the one using the tree, you show how versatile that set is, thinking out the box for your stamp sets is a must to get value for money, and you have done that several times, I think all your makes are just Gorge!
The flower is very pretty, but I’m a spotty dotty girl so the other two were ‘bang on’!!! Spotted the sheltering tree one, sooo clever to use that. Getting my polka dot folder and daubers out today to make a set of cards as a gift. You nailed it.
What a great idea Emma, to use the Sheltering Tree stamp for a background. I instantly thought – Wow, what is that stamp?! Love it!
I love the simplicity of the “You Made my Heart Smile” card – lovely sentiment as well as a super spotty card. But for me, the love-heart and and the very clever use of Sheltering Tree win it for me – just gorgeous!
I’m following the crowd again but loving the sponge dauber dotty one! I see some fun spotty cards in my future!! And I just love Birthday Blooms too – must try embossing in silver before colouring, it’s a lovely effect.
Awesome trio Emma. Love them all, and will be casing the tree idea and the spotty one for my Card Club. Great ideas to get more from your stash! Thanks for sharing
