Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop – In the Pines

Hello and welcome to the Artisan Blog Hop for October!

This month we are showcasing the fabulous In the Pines Bundle. I have changed up the colours to non traditional and bright and make a cute little card set.

The front of the Mini Paper Pumpkin Box was created but stamping the small trees in two (using versamark) and heat embossing with the Whisper White Powder. Once heat embossed I have taken a Water Painter and the ink refills to create a rainbow of trees.

Colour from left to right are: Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Pacific Point and Gorgeous Grape.

I had so much fun getting ink and creating these bright and non-traditional Christmas Cards. I do love the Red and Greens and more traditional colours but I equally love to change it up a little! Do you have a  go to Christmas colour combo? Are you traditional or non-traditional? I’d love to hear from you below in the comments.

To create these cards I firstly had lots of fun creating bright and bold watercolour background. I took a page of the Fluid 100 paper and covered with water and then dropped on the Poppy Parade and Daffodil Delight to one of these pages. for the second page I used the Granny Apple Green and Pacific Point Ink and for the third page of watercolour I use Gorgeous Grape and Pacific Point. Once these were all dry I then used these to die cut out a whole load of trees.

The background on each of the cards was created using some sponging of the Pool Party Ink over the ‘Wavy’ die in this bundle. Once the ink was applied I have then covered the background with a swoosh of shimmery ink. This was added with the pallet knife and free-hand. Just like spreading toast!

The sentiments were simply stamped in Memento Ink onto Whisper White cardstock and fussy cut out.
