Got to have it all…Ornate Garden Suite Collection #154153

I decided to make something fresh and bright and colouring always help my mind relax, which was exactly was was needed during these uncertain times.

Gerbera’s are in my top three favourite flowers, I love the shape and bold colours! So am throughly enjoying these stamps.

To create the background I have used an aqua painted to firstly add one colour, let this dry and then added the second and third colours – this is so they don’t bleed or merge into one another. The background were created in exactly the same way on both cards using Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry & Pumpkin Pie Inks.

The images have been stamped in Memento and coloured in with Blends, by not going all the way to edges on the images and leaving touches of white it makes them look a little more inky and water-coloured.

The sentiments are from the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set which has a whole LOAD of thank you sentiments and in a beautiful font. I have stamped in versamark and embossing white powder to really make these pop out from the card.

If you have time to make a comment, I would love to hear from you & I will pick out a name at random to send these cards to.

For now, I now sending you on over to the amazing Helene who has some fabulous florals in store for you.

Stay safe everyone – Hugs Emma xo

  1. Hi Emma, love the colors you choose. I too love Gerber Daisies but get get them to rebloom to save my life . I have a lot of flowers each year that do great in my gardens but those aren’t one of them. I have to say I like your color choices more than those in the DSP. Stay safe and well xx

  2. Gerberas are a lovely flower. I love the dribbly watercolour backgrounds you’ve used – so very bright and cheering. The white-on-black sentiments are perfect for them.

  3. Dear Emma, youre cards are sooo STUNNING!!!!
I LOVE your watercolor background and the colour combination you choose.
    Very, very beautiful ❤

  4. Emma, these cards are so beautiful. You truly have yourself to thank for converting me to florals! I can’t wait to colour gerberas.
