Welcome to the Be Inspired Blog Hop for May.
For this month the theme is Retirement or Graduation, I decided to focus on more masculine card which could be used for either retirement or a birthday card. The idea of retirement makes me think of time to relax in the way you most enjoy. I love the sentiment ‘Relax your way!’
I have used the man stamp from the ‘A Good Man’ set but wanted to add a little more to the image. To do this I have paired it with the Grace’s Garden set. With a little masking they have slotted together as if they were meant to be…doesn’t he look so relaxed in the garden?
My parents have the most beautiful yellow roses growing against a trellis so this was made with this and my Dad in mind….although his way of relaxing is not sitting still for too long! You will mostly find him tinkering with a job or two.
I have coloured the roses with Mango Melody and Granny Apple Blends, but I really wanted to make sure some of those roses popped out, so I have stamped them on to Crushed Curry and fussy cut a few of hem out to paper piece back over the top.
To complete the card, I have stapled on some twine for a rustic / garden feel.
Thanks so much for joining me today. I am now sending you on over to the fabulous Stesha who I know will have an amazing project in store for you – Enjoy the rest of the hop!
