Global Design Project #GDP242

Hello friends,

I am so thrilled to have been invited to be a part of the Global Design Project Blog as a Design Team Member. Seriously! This is SO exciting, I have loved following along with this challenge for a long time ….. it is my go-to fav! and now I’m a part of the design team – say what!!? Thank you so much to the whole team for the invite

So, for the first challenge (#GDP242) we are inspiring you with this sketch.

I couldn’t resist grabbing a new stamp set out which is featured on the front cover of the new Stampin’ Catalogue. This set is called Lovely You and is a mix of sentiments and flowers. I have used the Stampin’ Write markers to get a mix of colours on the same stamp & the colours used are: Melon Mambo, Shaded Spruce & Old Olive

I have also then enjoyed a little fussy cutting to be able to layer up these elements on to the Stitched Heart.

The edges of the card was stamped – I have taken one of the leave images and inked with the Shaded Spruce and Old Olive marker and repeated this along both top and bottom edges of the card. Once the stamping was complete I have layered over a vellum panel across the centre (& glued in place behind the heart)

The embellishments are in the NEW In-Colours and although not exact match the tones of these colours worked so well together

I completed the card with a linen thread bow which has been adhered with a glue dot – to cover any joins where the leaves and flowers meet in the middle.
