Blossoming Basket meets Lots of Lavender

In Blossoming Basket by Emma Goddard8 Comments

Hi,

Just a quick post from me to share the cards from this weeks Facebook live. If you would like to catch me live, I post a video every Sunday at 8pm (GMT) or you can catch up after here

The basket has been stamped in Memento Ink and coloured with the blends. I have used Light & Dark Daffodil Delight, Light Pumpkin Pie and Light Calypso Coral for the flowers and Light and Dark Crumb Cake for the Basket. This has been cut out of the largest Stitched Shape Framelit and mounted onto a 7cm x 7cm piece of So Saffron.

The card base is a full length of A4 (21cm) x half the width (10.5cm). I have folded in half and then folded the front of the card back on itself to create the Z-Fold card.

The whisper white panel on the front (7cm x 10cm) from has been embossed with the Basket Weave Textured Impressions coordinating folder from this bundle . I have added the doily and layered on stamped image.

The inside of the card has a piece of whisper white (10.2cm x 14.5cm) to give a small boarder and stamped (in Crumb Cake) with the sentiment ‘Here for you’ from the Blossoming Bundle set. To finish I had added the sweet little butterflies and a Linen Thread bow.

This card was assembled in exactly the same way, with the same measurements, the only difference is the lavender. I have stamped the basket onto the Stitched Square and coloured the basket and the leaves, not the flowers as these will be covered up. I have then stamped 3 of the Lots of Lavender stamp in Memento Ink & coloured with the Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive Blends.

All 3 have been fussy cut out (not worrying about the stems as these will also not be seen. I have used the snips to cut along the top of the basket to be able to add the lavender into it. You could use a cutting mat a craft knife if you find this easier to get the cut.

I have trimmed the extra from the bottom of the lavender to bring it inline with the basket and stuck to the back with some double sided tape. This was then stuck onto the Rich Razzleberry square layer and added to the card.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you enjoyed these makes. If you would like to get your hands on these sets, I would love to be your chosen demonstrator and you can shop online with me by following any of the product links below.

  1. I am a new Stampin Up Demo. I found your tutorial on the internet. Thank you so much for doing it. I had been trying to do the same thing you did with the lavender, but could never get it right. Thank you for showing your simple method. Hope you don’t mind if I CASE your card. It is so lovely. I will give you credit for the design. Again thank you for doing this tutorial.

    Blessings,
