Inspire.Create Theme Challenge #012 ‘Animals’

In Flowers by Emma Goddard6 Comments

Welcome to the Inspire.Create Challenge number #12.

This week we are all working from a theme and inspiring you with all things animals! I can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with, using the different options of animal sets from the Main and Spring/Summer Catalogues.

One of my favourite is the bumble bee, although technically an insect, I feel when creating cards we have creative licence over this ;)

The bumble bee is from the Dragonfly Dreams set (Pg 138 of the main catalogue) and this beautiful basket of flowers is available in a bundle until the end of March which you can get your hands on for FREE with a £90 spend. As this is a bundle, you would not only get your hands on this gorgeous set but the coordinating basket weave embossing folder too.

The watercolour wash background has been made by firstly painting the background with water and then adding the Peekaboo Peach ink and Crushed Curry to the bottom and letting them mix a little in the middle. Once the background was dry, I have then added Crushed Curry Stitched Satin Ribbon around into a bow with the extra bow in Peekaboo Peach twine around the knot of the satin ribbon.

Over the top of this I have layered up squares of cardstock:

  1. Basic Black square (7.5cm x 7.5cm)
  2. Crushed Curry sqaure (7cm x 7cm)
  3. The largest square from the Stitched Shape Framelits

The Blossoming Basket has been stamped onto watercolour cardstock and embossing in white powder. I have then used the aqua painter and inks (Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, Old Olive & Crumb Cake) to colour. The bumble bee has been stamped in Archival Black and also coloured with the aqua painter using Crushed Curry and Soft Sky ink.

If you would like to purchase any of these products then I would love to be your chosen demonstrator. You can access my online shop via any of the product links below.

Be sure to use the February host code KUCUP477 for an extra gift to be send out from me as well as a handmade thank you card.
