Emboss resist technique

In Dressed to Impress by Emma Goddard3 Comments

Hello fabulous! Hope you are having a great week?

As part of our Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team year we are asked to share  hints and tips, which are then posted by Stampin’ Up! – How Cool!!!  If you are not already following, be sure to follow the Stampin’ Up! IG page where they share all of the Artisan Design Team’s ideas and projects through out the year.

My tip was showing how you can created the emboss resist technique using the Breathtaking Bouquet Stamp with White Embossing Powder and Daubers. This stamp is just perfect for this technique and creates a real wow!

I have then used this piece to make three cards with coordinating colours of cardstock. (Melon Mambo & Calypso Coral)

To get these panel I have simply stacked the Melon Mambo, Calypso Coral and Breathtaking Bouquet (embossed paper) together and cut the diagonal lines through all three pieces of cardstock at once. Once cut, I have separated and pieced 1 of each back together – making this a really quick and simply was to create three card backgrounds!

The sentiments are from the ‘Dressed to Impress’ stamp set, all stamped in Melon Mambo with the elements also from this same set.

  1. What beautiful cards & AWESOME technique tips, too. The tip to stack the card stock & cut all diagonals at once will save me so much angst as I usually have to trim one piece or another so they perfectly match. You’ve also inspired me to try the white on white embossing.

  2. Absolutely love this idea!! What a great way to create a set of cards for a gift!
