Today I am sharing with you a design for the new Inspire.Create challenge which is live today, using the First Frost Stamp Set. This time around we are challenging you with this beautiful colour selection. I have to be honest with you, when I first saw this challenge it I was a little overwhelmed at there being 5 colours! and wasn’t sure if all 5 would make it to my card…but as I started playing they worked so perfectly together and I couldn’t leave one behind ;)
I have stamped the background using the First Frost Stamp Set. I have randomly stamped the flowers and leaves over the background of Whisper White cardstock – this design would be perfect for a one sheet wonder too! (which is on my to do list & will of course share with you once I have made them)
Once the background was stamped I have spritz over with some Frost White Shimmer Paint mixed with Alcohol in a Stampin’ Spritzer – I’m not sure the photos capture this but in real life it has plenty of sparkle!
I have them cut out some of the leaves from the coordinating dies in Old Olive and Vellum. The Old Olive looks much lighter here and this is because I have also added some Frost White Shimmer paint to these leaves. I have done this with a dauber to rub over evenly. The label die is also in the First Frost set and I have cut this out twice, once in Whisper White and again in Lovely Lipstick and then paired up the skinny frame with the white larger centre piece.
The ‘Happy’ is from a different die set and is in fact from a Christmas set and not a Birthday set. These gorgeous word dies are the Merry Christmas Thinlits, this ‘Happy’ is perfect for all year round crafting and these dies work beautifully with the shimmer paper. To complete the card I have stamped the ‘Birthday’ (from Thoughtful Banners – a great go to sentiment set!) in lovely Lipstick and then added some Sequins.
I would love you to choose me as your demonstrator and if you do shop with me online, please be sure to use the monthly code and I’ll send a little something out to you in the following month to say Thank You!
If you are feeling inspired by these beautiful colours we would love you to share your card and link to your own blog over on at Inspire.Create Challenge, which you can find HERE.
