Nothing’s better than Doughnuts

In Birthday by Emma Goddard2 Comments

This week we are CASE-ing the wonderful Susan Wong. I adore her and her wonderful crafting style, so I couldn’t wait to CASE her card for the new Global Design Project Challenge this week.

This is Susan’s original card, started to play with some water colouring but ended up using the Of Art and Texture Stamp Set for the background instead.

I started by stamping the background with the Of Art and Texture Stamp in Melon Mambo. I have stamped multiple times to create the darker and softer ink colours.

The next step was to draw lines with the Brush Tip of the Basic Gray Stampin’ Write Marker onto some Basic White cardstock, once I drew the lines I then used the trimmer to cut off a piece of this pattern.

The Doughnuts are such a fun image and were stamped in Memento and coloured with Crumb Cake, Pretty in Pink and a touch of Petunia Pop Blends. Once coloured, I have cut them out with my trusty paper snips!

The bow is tied with Smoky Slate Bakers Twine and adhered to the card with a glue dot (and essential in my craft room!) and I have complete the card with some Metallic Dots in Silver and some splatters of Petunia Pop Blend.
