One Stamp at a Time – Bring on the Birthdays

In One Stamp at a Time by Emma Goddard8 Comments

Welcome to my first hop of today. This morning I am blog hopping with the One Stamp at a Time team and we are sharing ideas inspired by the theme ‘All about the Birthday’

I decided to create a 6″x 6″ pop out card April and May are particularly busy birthday months on my calendar so this will be winging its way out to someone special. The beauty with this card is that this card lays completely flat in the envelope and also no assembling of the card required – it just simply standards up with the folded panels making the butterflies pop out!

The back panel of the card is from normal Whisper White (6″ x 6″) and covered with the pretty Botanical Designer Series paper (FREE with a £45 spend in Sale-a-bration)

The butterfly dies come with two dies which over lay each other. The first one has been cut in Whisper white and coloured with Coastal Cabana and Granny Apple Green using the Sponge Daubers. I have then cut a top layer using Basic Black which coordinated with the black and white of the designer paper.

As this card is 6″ x 6″, it will not fit in a ‘normal’ size envelope so I have created one to coordinate.

The envelope punch board is such a great tool for creating ANY size envelope as well as many other projects!

Hope you enjoy all the inspiration and would love to hear from you if you have time to comment – Have a great day!

    1. Isn’t is just awesome – wish it was in a main catalogue and could stay for a year!

  1. Wow! You really go the extra mile – an eye-catching card and a matching envelope which has reminded me that I have an envelope maker and I keep forgetting to use it. Thanks for inspiring me.

  2. Hi Emma love your card, ❤️ I’m from Australia and am wondering if you made a video of your wonderful card?? I would love to make one, I’ve looked everywhere and can’t find anything like yours, cheers Brenda xx

    1. Hi Brenda,

      Thank you so much.
The measurements are a 6″ x 6″ piece of card – this is the back panel. Score in half at 3″
The middle piece is 5″ x 2 1/2″ – scored at 1/2″ in from either end & also scored at 3″ down the centre
The front strip (Black and White stripes) is 1-1/2″ x 7″ – scored at 1/2″ in from each end. This front piece if not scored in the centre – only at the two ends for attaching to the card

Lay the back panel completely flat and adhere the stripe using the tabs – also laying flat.
Decorate each piece with stamping or any Designer Series paper BEFORE assembly

Hope these written instructions help you – I’ll try and get a video made soon, but won’t be able to get to this until next weekend now :)

      Enjoy! Emma xo

  3. Gorgeous card and a great fun fold! I hope to see a video soon. Love the card
