Seaside Wishes Sketch

In Beach by Emma Goddard1 Comment

This week there is a new sketch for the Global Design Project Challenge and for my card I have used the Seaside Wishes Bundle, which comes with a hybrid embossing folder. I have replaced the circle in the sketch with the three Sand Dollars from this hybrid embossing folder.

I tapped some ink into the embossing folder and spritzed with water, then added in the watercolour cardstock and ran this through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine. Once dry, I then went back and die cut them out. Whilst the folder is designed to cut and emboss at the same time, I decided because i was adding the ink into the folder, I didn’t want to also add a die cut into the mix too.

The background panel is embossed with the So Swirly Embossing Folder, and the white panel is embossed with the Seaside Wishes Folder for a mix of textures.

I cut the strips of Gold foil and attached them to either side of the white card, to be a little more frugal with the foil cardstock.

Measurements

  • Please Note: A4 is given in Centimetres & Letter cardstock is given in Inches
  • Basic White Thick Card Base
    • 21cm x 14.8cm – Scored at 10.5cm or 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ – Scored at 4 1/4″
  • Night of Navy – Embossed with the So Swirly Folder
    • 14.8cm x 9cm or 5 1/2″ x 3 1/2″
    • Scrap for sentiment
  • Basic White – Embossed with the Seaside Wishes Folder
    • 14.8cm x 6cm or 5 1/2″ x 2 1/2″
  • Gold Foil (x2 pieces)
    • 14.8cm x 1cm or 5 1/2″ x 3/8″
  • Watercolour Cardstock
    • 1/4 sheet for embossing

The gold ribbon is already 1/8″ (3.2mm), but I wanted it to be even thinner, so I cut this down the length of the ribbon to create these thinner strands of gold.

I have completed the card with some of the Adhesive Backed Metallic Gems.
