Welcome back to the Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop,

This months theme was the 2013-15 In Colours, which were on the retiring list which came out on this week (Tuesday 21st April), if you did try an place an order on this day, the system was having problems and crashing, probably under the pressure of everyone wanted to get there hands on a bargain! So apologies for this.

By Tuesday some items had already SOLD OUT including the 2013-15 In Colours, it seems they were selling like HOT cakes!!

So I will still share with you the card set I had made, one in each of the retired 2013-15 In Colours, using the very versatile Painted Petals set.

However………. I have also made an alternative version of each of these cards using subtle colours.

So this is the first card, using Soft Sky and a cute button from the Sweet Dreams Designer Buttons set (Pg. 39 of the Spring/Summer Catalogue 2015) This Lost Lagoon but goes very well with the lighter Soft Sky.

The second card…is using Pink Pirouette. The background has been stamped using the row of 7 dots from the Painted Petals set. I inked once and stamped 2 of 3 times, randomly and repeated until the background was filled.

Card number 3…a simple stamped card with no layering using Wisteria Wonder, So Saffron, Pink Pirouette and Pear Pizzazzimage

Card number 4…This card is on a base which is the full length of A4 cut in half at 10.5cm. It had been folded in half and then the front folded back on itself. The hatch is using the 3 stripes in the Painted Petals set stamped in Wisteria Wonder, but stamped off on a scrap of paper/grid sheet before stamping on the card to give a lighter colour, so when stamping the flowers in the same ink they stand out.

And the final card…this is technique uses tissue paper. I has fully intended to share a video, but ran out of time. So I explain and hope to add a video to show this technique at a later point.

I have stamped the image and sentiment on tissue paper, which is bigger than the base you wish to add it to. Then screw up, yes screw up!? your image, doesn’t quite feel right when it looks sooo pretty. Then unfold, glue your piece of whisper white using Stampin’ Glue Stick – all over! Then place down your tissue paper, pat down rather than rub flat and you’ll iron out the creases too much. Trim the extra tissue paper, using scissors. Ta da!

Hope you have enjoyed seeing my cards, you are now going to hop on to the lovely Caroline.
