Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop – Step into Christmas

In Christmas by Emma Goddard7 Comments

Welcome to this months Stampin’ Creative blog hop and this month we are feeling festive with the theme ‘Step into Christmas” …so who else is now singing this song? I know we are not into Dec quite yet but I know feel we are suitable close to Dec to start with the Christmas tunes! I heard a few on my way to work the other morning and was happily singing along.

For this post I have decided to use the stamp set ‘At home with you’, when I eventually finish work for the Christmas break, being at home with my lovely family is my perfect idea of stepping into Christmas!

This card is BIG…it is full sheet of A4 folded in half (A5) and is great for a special card with personalise names on as there is plenty of same to add some names.

The background is using the embossing paste (mixed with Cajun Craze re-inker) and the Pattern Party decorative masks which has this brick pattern. The door (& all the bits and bobs) have been stamped in Memento ink and then coloured with the new Blends (Cherry Cobbler, Smoky Slate, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Bronze and Dark Crumb Cake) this has all been die cut and raised up using dimensionals.

I have also snuck in a couple of extra stamps from different sets. The lantern needed something to hang from, so I have used the sign hanger from the set ‘Brightly lit Christmas’ and the sentiment inside the door is from ‘Hearts come home for Christmas’

I have also made a coordinating tag, which is also using the door (& the other bits & bobs) from this set and raised up on dimensionals. The ribbons I have used are 2 of my favourites from this years catalogue and I think I am now on my 3rd roll of both! The 1/8″ is just a great width for tags and tying together little packages.

Thanks for stopping by, I am now sending you on the the fabulous Kim Fee who I know will have something gorgeous in store you you. Be sure to hop on round everyone and if you have time we would all love to hear from you so if you have time please do leave a comment.

If you would like to recreate this card or get you hands on this set you can shop online with me at my shop here, all supplies are listed below.

  1. So cute and adorable! Loving the larger size card too. I must not buy that set, I must not spend any more… oh dang it! Might have to go on my list!

  2. Oh I absolutely love these and in particular the Gift Tag. The door fits beautifully and is somehow shown off fully here xx
