Stampstories Blog Hop – Watercolour

In Sale-a-Bration by Emma Goddard11 Comments

Welcome to my first Stampstories blog hop & today we are sharing inspiration using the theme ‘Watercolour’

I love watercolouring and I knew the By The Bay Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set would be perfect for playing about with the aqua painter and some inks. I am yet to use the large image from this set but will be making lots more with this set for sure.

By the Bay and subtle watercolour effect. Card by Emma Goddard at Coastal Crafter.

For the background I have just added a wash of water and then some lines of both Blueberry Bushel and Gray Granite across the card. Once dry I have cut out the watercolour card stock with the large Rectangle Stitched Framelit (Page 28 of the Spring/Summer Catalogue)

I have stamped the sea shell image with Staz-On and added a little water and some drops of Gray Granite Ink with the aqua painter, I have also hared some tiny touched of BlueBerry Bushel.

Once dry I added the sentiment and die cut out with the circle form the Stitched Circle Framelits. The next step was to punched either side with the 1/8″ Handheld Circle Punch to create holes for the Linen Thread to tie through.

I have tied this through the right hand side and wrapped both piece of thread around the card, back through the left hand side and tied up in to a bow.

I shall now pass you over to my lovely friend Linda – Enjoy the hop around all the watercolour inspiration!
