Artisan Design Team Blog Hop – All My Love

In Artisan Blog Hops by Emma Goddard27 Comments

Happy New Artisan Year! I am absolutely thrilled to have been selected for a second year back on the Artisan Design Team 2019! There are a few of us returning from last year a few returning from previous years and a few new faces – I am already really enjoying getting to know the team and just know you are going to be in for a real treat all year long with lots of gorgeous creations from all of these amazing ladies.

For the first hop of the year we are showcasing the All My Love Suite which features both beautiful stamps and coordinating dies and accessories. For the cards I have made today I have kept to the all the pinks and white as my colour combo but by changing up the colours this could be used for birthdays and thank you cards not only valentines, weddings and anniversaries.

Ombre Die Cuts

First up is the card I had in my head from when I first saw these dies which prompted my ombre theme throughout all the cards. I have cut 6 layers of card (Lovely Lipstick, Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo, Blushing Bride, Powder Pink and Whisper White) and then die cut the Lovely Flowers Edgelits on each piece. I have then trimmed the top of the piece of cardstock to layer them. You may be thinking …”Does that not make the card bulky?  It is a little more bulky than ‘normal’ as it has 6 layers…  but it still stands up ok & I’m ok with the extra weight when it is for a special card.

The sentiment has been stamped on to Lovely Lipstick in Versamark to White Emboss it and the flowers to the side are a combination of stamped images and cuts from the coordinating All My Love Designer Series Paper. The Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots are not in the suite but on page 25 from the Happiness Blooms Suite, these are the perfect match the with Lovely Lipstick.

Watercolour Wash

This background has only used three of the pink colours (Lovely Lipstick, Melon Mambo and Flirty Flamingo). I have used the Shimmery White Cardstock as this takes the watercolouring really well and adds a little sparkle! The large heart dies are just gorgeous and much bigger than I expected them to be, they also have the lovely stitching which adds detail without having to add an extra layer.

Free Sale-A-Bration Items

The Lovely Lipstick Foil is one of the FREE items you can add into your basket with a £45 spend from 3rd Jan to 31st Mar 19. There are 8 single sided 12″ x 12″ sheets (4 Grapefruit Grove and 4 Lovely Lipstick), it cuts beautifully with the dies and add some extra WOW to your projects.

Ombre Ribbon

This ribbon comes in a combo pack and is 1/8″ Flirty Flamingo, but to tie in the ombre theme I have added some additional colour in both Lovely Lipstick and Flirty Flamingo blends to create the ombre look.

To complete this card I have added some more of the Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots along with the Heart Epoxy Droplets – I love that they look like dewy water drops.

That is all from me for today, so I am now sending you on over first the first time this year to the lovely Jackie Aitken who I know has some fabulous creations in store for you. Be sure to hop on around to all of the Artisan Design Team and say hello – we would love to hear from you – Enjoy this very first Artisan Design Team Blog hop of the year and I know we are looking forward to sharing LOTS more creativity with you all in 2019!
