This is my first time going the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop and for this hop we are sharing cards inspired by the theme ‘Step it up’
A big thank you for Angie for inviting me to join this hop.
I have used Polished Pink cardstock for the card base and for the first card the layers are Basic White with some simple stamping.
The Artistically Inked stamp set has these inky floral images. This bundle does have coordinating dies but if you wanted to only use the stamp set you could cut around this circle flower and leaves with your snips.
The theme of step-it up had me thinking of stepping up the same design from very basic to more avid but also my thoughts went to a stepped card
This was actually the second card I made in this due. I made the more avid card first and then duplicated the design and paired it back.
This next card uses the stunning papers from this Expressions in Ink suite, it is very lovely in the catalogue and in photos but even more beautiful in real life.
The die cut share is one cut from Basic White. I have then stamped some Polished Pink over the flower areas and added some Gold Embossing Powder.
To do this I applied Versamark to the areas of the die cut that I wanted the Gold to be and then added the Embossing Powder and heated.
I have looped some of the Gold behind the flowers for some extra texture and finished the card with the Gold Facted Gems
I am now delighted to send you on over to my friend Mikaela. Enjoy! the rest of the hop & all the inspiration from around the world.

Oh Emma … A…MAZING!!!!!! xxxx
Thanks so much Cheryll, this set was a must have for me
This is gorgeous! I love the suite
Thank you Danielle, it was one of the first cards I have made with this suite, it was one of the first suites in my basket when it was available
Love where your creative thoughts led you with the theme, Emma! The stepped up versions of your step card are fabulous!!! So happy to have you hopping along with us! xx
Both cards are beautiful, Emma! I haven’t seen this fold used in such a long time – it’s so great. The thing that amazed me most about this suite is that using just the stamps and ink, without all the fancy dies and papers, still produces a fabulous project.
Beautiful card!! would you share instructions please?
