Welcome to the first Stampin’ Creative hop of the year!

I am so delighted to be back for another year of fabulous fun hops with this amazing bunch of ladies! I am also really excited to have the lovely Laura Mackie and Linda Van Wely both joining us this month… A big welcome from me!

Every month over the year we have lots of fabulous guests joining us and I am really excited to see what creative loveliness they and the whole team have to share over the coming year. The Stampin’ Creative blog hop always goes live on the last Saturday of every month so be sure to say hi :) We would love you to follow along with us.

This months theme is Love and Appreciation, so I decided to get ahead for Feb and make a Valentines card, I knew I wanted to use the large letters in gold glimmer as my starting point for this card so I have paired this up with more neutral tones rather than the typical pinks and red.

On top of the Crumb Cake base I have added a layer of the Wood Texture DSP and a layer of the Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate. I knew the centre part of this would be covered so this is where I have used Fast Fuse behind this panel to hold the acetate.

The panel of Whisper White is 7.5cm x 10,5cm with a layer of Cardstock Vellum 8cm x 11cm. I have out my sewing machine in my craft room at the moment so I seem to be adding a touch of the sticking to a lot of my cards. I stitched three side and then added in some Gold Glitter Flakes before sticking the final side of this panel.

I have tied with some linen thread and organza white ribbon. The Gold Glitter XO are from the large letters, which are a recent addition to my crafting stash and I LOVE them!

The ‘Hugs and Kisses’ sentiment are made up from the very useful Labeler Alphabet Stamp Set. I have know I have plenty of stamp sets with a lot of sentiments but not always exactly the right one!? this is where the Labeler Alphabet set allows you to really make your cards and projects completely bespoke.
