Beautiful Gallery Suite Cardmaking Tutorial

This weekend was all about the Beautiful Gallery Suite! On Friday and Saturday evening, I hosted my double online class, and on Sunday I went live on both my YouTube channel and Facebook page, where I shared a brand new Beautiful Gallery Suite Cardmaking Tutorial.

During my class, we focused on the stunning colour combinations found in the designer series paper from the suite. But for Sunday’s card, I wanted to switch things up and create something bold and vibrant, stepping away from the suite’s patterned papers and diving into some bright ink colours instead.

Stampin’ Up! Colour Inspiration palette featuring Gorgeous Grape, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Blueberry Bushel, and Granny Apple Green from www.coastalcrafter.com.

To begin, I stamped a variety of the Beautiful Gallery Suite flowers using Versamark ink on watercolour cardstock, then heat embossed them in gold embossing powder. I painted the flowers with a mix of bright inks for a vivid look, while the foliage was coloured using Granny Apple Green.

A bright and bold landscape floral card. Using a mix of bright inks to colour the flowers.

Rather than using the outline dies, I carefully fussy-cut the flowvers with scissors to highlight specific areas and create a more custom arrangement. You can see exactly which flowers I used, and how many of each, in the video replay – link below.

To finish off the design, I added some Gold Sequins for extra sparkle.
